Profile - Brian Moquin
Mr. Moquin has thirty years of experience in Computer Science and has been teaching professionally since 1989, both in academic and corporate settings. A technophile at heart with an insatiable appetite for knowledge, Brian informs his development and delivery of technical courses by engaging nearly full-time in software development, multimedia production, and consulting to companies ranging from the Fortune 10 to sole proprietorships.
Brian received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. His doctoral work in Engineering Science and Mechanics focused on the analysis of theoretical turbulence, scientific visualization, and computer language design. He is also a practicing California attorney. He has authored numerous books, has edited many others on a wide range of subjects, and has written thousands of pages of technical documentation for clients. He has also written several patent applications for clients, all of which went on to be approved, and is a patent holder himself.
Brian served on the faculty at both Penn State and Widener Universities before leaving to start his own corporate training academy in the Philadelphia region. He also founded and ran two ISPs, three software development companies, a multimedia production studio, and numerous dotcoms. He is an expert in software development, multimedia production, instructor-led training, curriculum development, technical writing, and bar review. Over the past twenty years, he has developed and taught seventy different courses in programming languages, software development, operating systems, networking, test design methodologies, automation, database design, computer applications, and law to thousands of students throughout the United States as well as in India, China, England, the Philippines, and Nicaragua.
