UnixWare
7 NonStop Cluster Installation and Configuration
Course Overview
This UnixWare
7 NonStop Clusters Installation & Configuration course
is designed for individuals who need to gain a firm understanding of how
to install the hardware and software for NonStop Clusters, (NSC). The target
audience includes technicians that will install and configure NSC. The
course may also be useful to system administrators that will maintain NSC
systems on a daily basis and programmers who will develop cluster-aware
applications.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, students
should be able to:
-
Assemble a cluster in either tower or rack
form
-
Perform hardware setup and diagnostics on
cluster components including nodes, storage devices, and Server Area Network
(SAN)
-
Install UnixWare 7.1 on the initial root
node in a cluster
-
Install NSC on the first node in a cluster
-
Install the failover root node.
Prerequisites
Students are likely to have a wide variety
of backgrounds in UNIX , UnixWare, and SCO OpenServer. They must have the
following prerequisite skills before attending this course:
-
Passed the SCO UnixWare 7 ACE certification
tests
-
Passed the UnixWare
7
NonStop Clusters Concepts
course
test.
Course Series
UnixWare 7 NonStop Clustering Concepts
is the second course in a series on UnixWare 7
NonStop Clusters. The other courses
are:
UnixWare7 NonStop Clusters Concepts
UnixWare7 NonStop Clusters Administration.
